Based on the Global Fund Board’s decision in November 2022 on the funding available for the 2024- 2027 allocation period, Rwanda has been allocated US$172,114,507 for HIV, tuberculosis (TB), malaria and building resilient and sustainable systems for health (RSSH).3 The allocation amounts for all countries have been determined according to a methodology approved by the Global Fund Board, primarily based on disease burden and income level. Rwanda is classified as a low income countryfunding cycle, Rwanda submitted a joint TB-HIV application. As a result, the 2021-2024 grant cycle is the first time the country will be implementing a joint TB-HIV grant with the aim of generating further efficiencies and synergies in program implementation.
